The Stewards have approved an application from Jockey H Bowman to withdraw the appeal lodged by him against the Racing Stewards’ decision on 24 January 2024 to find him guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100 (1)], and to impose a penalty of a suspension from riding in races from 15 February 2024 to 18 February 2024 (both dates inclusive) and a fine of $30,000. The Stewards further directed that the appeal deposit be refunded.
