This well-travelled and accomplished 2400m performer placed in G1 Japan Cup in 2021 and 2022, and performed with distinction in UAE and USA. Scratched from the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m) early December due to the potential health issue.

Showed progress in recent four starts and grabbed her first group race success in the G3 Fukushima Kinen (2000m) last time. First time over this distance. Races back.

Titleholder

This three-time G1 winner returned from a break to finish second in the G2 Sankei Sho All Comers (2200m) before finishing fifth in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) last time. This will be his final career start.

Do Deuce

The winner of the G1 Japanese Derby 2022 won the G2 Kyoto Kinen (2200m) in February 2023. Finished fourth with the second fastest closing speed in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) last time.

Deep Bond

Still seeking his first G1 win. Ran second in this race in 2021. Returned from a break in good form when third at a G2 (2400m) in October but finished below par in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) last time.

Iron Barows

Versatile distance wise from 2000m to 3600m. Showed a lot of improvement when making all the way to the finish in the 3600m G2 Stayers Stakes last time. Five wins in 27 starts.

Lilac

A runner-up in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) in 2022. Likely returned her form, finishing third in the G2 Fuchu Himba Stakes (1800m) in October before fourth in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup last time.

Heat On Beat

The winner of the G2 Meguro Kinen over this distance in May finished a dead heat third at G2 (2500m) at Tokyo last time. Five-time winner between 2200m and 2500m. Usually races back.

Justin Palace

This year’s G1 Tenno Sho Spring (3200m) winner finished third in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m), before finishing second to Equinox in the G1 Tenno Sho Autumn (2000m) last time.

Harper

The highly regarded three-year-old filly never missed on board in seven starts. Very competitive when third against older fillies and mares in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) last time.

Win Marilyn

Six wins between 2000m and 2500m. The winner of the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase in 2022 has not tasted any success in four starts this term including fourth in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf last time. This will be her final career start.

The Japanese Derby winner returned from a break of around five months but remained in good form, finishing second in the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) last time. Usually races close to speed or better than midfield.

Took first win since April 2022 in the G2 Kyoto Daishoten (2400m) in October last time. No ground concerns. Races in midfield or better.

Through Seven Seas

The improving five-year-old mare landed her first group race win in the G3 (1800m) in March and finished brave second to Equinox in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m), before finishing fourth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, bringing Japan’s best result in decade.

Finished in the top three in all 11 starts. Finished third to Equinox but only a length behind the runner-up Liberty Island in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) last time. Settles better than midfield but is capable of racing back as well.
