1400m – Turf
1 |
Lucky Jinsha |
Champion Polytrack horse but who has been disappointing in 2023 with four unplaced runs. The 1400m turf track is the big query and a win would surprise. |
2 |
Fame Star |
Has what it takes to lead all the way when the race shape suits. Erratic, and is hard to catch, but could prove good each-way value. |
3 |
Kharisma |
Has been slowly coming to form again. Last start looked unlucky when held up from the 400m until passing the 200m. He looks well placed for a big run here. |
4 |
Sacred Croix |
Has not won a race for 820 days now but has placed in some big races along the way. He will get back and run on late as he does. |
5 |
Mr Black Back |
Races for a new trainer here after a last-start all-the-way win over the mile. Based on that, he remains a serious winning chance again. |
6 |
Circuit Mission |
Will find this easier than recent races and looked well in a recent trial as he returns to the races off a 64-day break. He has what it takes to measure up here. |
7 |
Gold Star |
Boasts the strongest track and distance stats in the race but whether he has the class to win a race of this nature remains to be seen. |
8 |
Countofmontecristo |
Former Kranji top-liner who transferred to Australia for two years and didn’t win a race. Finished 11 lengths into last on his first run back locally, and he could be past his prime. Time will tell. |
9 |
Relentless |
Former top-rated four-year-old who fell out of form late last year and in two runs in 2023. Races first-up off a 141-day break and the market is the best guide. |
10 |
Pacific Emperor |
Unbeaten three-year-old in three starts at Kranji but this is by far his toughest test as he rises to Class 2, stretches to 1400m while switching to turf. |
11 |
Wealth Elite |
Checked in a slashing runner-up first-up over this distance but in Class 3 last start. Class 2 is the query but the light weight should help. |
12 |
Street Cry Success |
Looks outclassed here and needs something easier but jockey Simon Kok does get the best out of him. |
