Jockey Z Purton has lodged a notice of appeal against the decision made by the Racing Stewards on 16 July 2023 finding him guilty of a breach of Rule 155 (5) when riding VANTASTIC CHOICE in Race 2 at the Sha Tin race meeting on 16 July 2023 and imposing a penalty of a fine of $20,000. Jockey Purton is appealing against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
