The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased one eye-catching colt at the recent 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale held at Riverside Stables in Sydney, Australia for a total outlay of AU$420,000 (approx. HK$2,319,000).

Toronado has shot the lights out with 13 wins this season to sit second in Hong Kong’s sire rankings, while among his recent successors are Toronado Phantom, Sweet Encounter, Victor The Winner and the dual Sha Tin Group 3-winning Senor Toba.

The Club was pleased to secure Lot 256 – by Toronado – for AU$420,000, while the mare Art Series was a five-time winner ranging from 1200m to 1600m at both Ascot and Belmont Racecourses in Perth, Australia including once at Group 3 level.
