Jockey Zac Purton has tested COVID positive today. The Club has maintained a stringent testing regime for jockeys, with jockeys undertaking PCR testing 7 days a week including where the calendar includes additional holidays or where the race meeting was conducted on a Saturday. Jockey Purton’s PCR test from yesterday was negative. Jockey Purton is home quarantining with ongoing testing and treatment to be carried out under the direction of the CMO.

A release will be issued at an appropriate time regarding when Purton will be available to resume riding.
