Air Almas

Posted double-digit finishes in last two starts largely due to less-than-ideal trips and attempts to avoid kickback. Did finish third over Hanshin 1200m in late December. Can do well with right trip.

Boiler House

Has made board 3 times from last 5 starts at this level. Miho-based, but has won over Hanshin 1200m. Posted 7-9 in last 2 starts, both at Hanshin, most recent on 22 Oct. Is prepped, but third start, third long trip to venue in over a month may be a strain. Assigned weight advantageous.

Fire Lance

Moving up in class after winning under Yuga Kawada over Hanshin 1200m in mid Oct. Is maintaining condition. Can run on any ground. Assigned weight advantageous.

Genetics

Won over Hanshin 1200m in Dec 2020 and started last year showing promise at this level. Went into slump and given almost 7 months off. Returned early Oct but stumbled at break and failed to recover. Is improving in training but likely needs more time.

Hiro Shige Gold

Raced primarily in sprints with some success. Given second turf race of career in early Oct., likely as conditioning prep. Seven years old, but not to be written off.

Imeru

Double-digit finishes in last three starts, best a sixth this year. Likely not a contender.

Justin

Raced largely in graded stakes on NAR circuit, but has come close in JRA events. Won a handicap in Feb over Hanshin 1200m. Returned for NAR third in mid Aug. Competitive here.

Meisho Gigas

8-year-old raced recently in jump races finishing sixth last out over Nakayama 1200m on sloppy ground. Likely not competitive here.

Meisho Mirai

Has posted double-digit finishes in all 3 starts since rising to this level. Likely not a contender.

Misuzu Grand O

Somewhat difficult temperament and needs clear run, with ground not too fast. Last raced in late Sep. Work ample. Has chance with right trip.

Nishino Lightning

Double-digit finishes in his 2 starts since moving to this class. Likely not competitive here.

Omega Rainbow

Consistently makes board and has four thirds from last 7 starts, all at this level or higher. Finished third over Nakayama 1200m nearly a year ago. Could well make top three.

Queen’s Melissa

Has raced in 1150-1400m events with considerable success but was unable to advance last out after missing break in first open-class bid in 15 months. Not promising.

Saimon Harold

Raced solely over 1200-1400m with some success, but inconsistent. Training ample. Finished 3.3L off winner in Hanshin 1200m in early Oct. Assigned weight advantageous. Capable.

Shigeru Hosayaku

Posted 5-11-13 since moving to this class. Raced largely over 1400m, but has done well over 1200m. Assigned weight advantageous. Has chance, but slim.

Zenno Ange

Won over Hanshin 1200m at class below, but has best fourth in 6 starts since. Finished close fourth last out on 22 Oct over Hanshin 1400m. Improvement expected and assigned weight a plus. Could make money.
