A proven winner at this trip, and not beaten far in a handicap here at Longchamp in April. Also a close third in quite a hot Deauville handicap on his last start.

Has twice performed really well at this track, latterly when a close third last out.

Bobydargent

Having a busy year, this will be his 14th start of 2022. That includes two victories including a handicap success here. But well beaten last out.

Gaidar

Not one of the stars of this great stable but he has shown plenty of promise in all four starts, latterly when only just beaten in a strong handicap here last out. Chance.

Gladys Senora

A smart and generally consistent mare with two of her five career wins coming here. Although well beaten by the winner, she ran a solid second in Listed company last time.

Have Dancer

Looked a little unlucky not to have finished closer than seventh in a handicap over this course and distance last out. Had previously won in a tight finish at Deauville.

Highbari

His last win came in a 1700m handicap here nearly a year ago. Some good efforts since and, though failing to justify favouritism, was a close fourth of 16 here last out.

Invincible Light

A three times winner, and this consistent and tough gelding comes here fresh from a brave defeat of 15 rivals over this course and distance last out.

Khochenko

Plenty of success – though not at Longchamp – earlier in his career but has failed to win in his last 19 starts. Some quite encouraging placed efforts this year, however.

Lamento

Has only raced four times this year, but has run really well on his last three starts including a handicap victory at Dieppe following a neck defeat at long odds here.

Lingering Dream

Just one win from 13 starts. But her close fourth under top weight in a handicap here last out must count as an encouraging performance.

London Royal

No winning form since moving from Ireland, but clear improvement on recent starts and a solid second over this course and distance last time.

Nepalais

First start at Longchamp for this gelding who has won two of his 14 starts, and has no trip worries. A few rivals would appear to have stronger chances.

Not So Silly

The outsider of 16 runners over 1900m on the all-weather at Deauville last time, but managing a close fourth.

Out Of Time

Had plenty of success when trained in Italy including two G2 victories over 1600m at San Siro. Not beaten far in a Deauville handicap in August.

Padron

Career best effort when winning a Listed event over 1600m on very soft ground at Saint-Cloud last year. Some good efforts at smaller tracks this year, but no impact at Deauville last time.

Quello

Has winning form over this trip last year, but struggling so far this season. Hard to fancy.

Rock Joyeux

Having his first start at this track, but a consistent performer who is effective at this trip. Beaten by nose in a claiming race on Chantilly’s all-weather track last out.

Rocquemont

An admirable ten-times winning handicapper though better known for competing over shorter distances than this. Well behind on the Deauville all-weather surface last time.

Vilaro

A veteran handicapper who has tasted plenty of success, and is very effective at this trip. Beaten on his last 16 starts, but at least with a sinking handicap mark.

Watch Him

Twice a winner and proven at this trip, though those victories came on an all-weather surface. Others appear to have better profiles.

Wishuponastar

Having won a handicap over this trip at Saint-Cloud in April, a career best effort, he had a break before another victory – at a provincial track – last out. Has a good attitude.
