1300m – Turf
Amedras | A six times winner, who drops in trip for this. A 1400m winner here back in April and has run consistently well since including a close Longchamp third over 1600m last out. |
Anterselva | Has failed to win in her last 13 starts but almost put that right last time when only narrowly failing to win a 1600m conditions event at Deauville. Effective at this shorter trip. |
Antharis | He is dropping in trip for this assignment. Briefly looked like winning a 1600m Deauville handicap last time, still running well in second. |
Baileys Blues | More places than wins with just two career victories – both over 1200m. Outspeeded in a 1000m Listed event at Chantilly in June. |
Black Lives Matter | Won a maiden over this course and distance last year, his only career victory so far. Plenty of disappointments since that win and a falling handicap mark is unlikely to be enough. |
Indyco | Had a winning spree earlier this year, with victories here and at Deauville. Still fairly handicapped. |
Kiloecho | Had a good spell in mid 2021 with three consecutive victories – all over 1200m. Some harder tasks since but fairly handicapped now, and not beaten far at Deauville last time. |
King Gold | Came from the back to run second in a G3 at Hamburg in July, though never looked like winning. Good placed efforts on his last two starts. |
Lanaken | No wins from three previous Longchamp runs but respectable efforts each time. Gained his third career win on his latest start when easily justifying favouritism in a conditions’ event. |
Lily Rose | Only win came at a minor track over 1950m on her career debut. But has been placed in her last five starts, twice in handicaps over this course and distance. One to consider. |
Masterboy | Has won three of his ten starts but probably best over a bit further than this, and well behind on his last two starts. |
Millfield | A seven-time winning veteran who has lots of Longchamp experience, justifying favouritism when winning a 1400m handicap here in April. Best on slow ground. |
Ozan | Two career wins from 15 starts, both of them coming over longer trips than this. Ran a good fourth in a handicap here last out. |
Perl | Never looked like winning a handicap here on her latest start, finishing sixth of seven. Won a Deauville handicap previously but this looks a stronger contest. |
Regalien | Just one win but plenty of places, including when twice not beaten far over this course and distance this summer. Has had a break since a less good run at Chantilly. |
Schooner Ridge | Won a handicap on very soft ground here last year. Has only raced three times this year, one disappointment but two solid efforts. |
Simply Striking | This tough gelding came close to winning a handicap over this course and distance last year with some other decent Longchamp efforts since. Struggled in a G2 in Germany latest. |
Sirius Slew | Did come close to a surprise win in a 1200m Chantilly handicap on his latest start, his best effort for some time. But he will need to do better again against stronger company here. |
Torpen | A six-time winner who has enjoyed success over this 1300m trip. Also comes here in winning form, showing a tough attitude to win a soft-ground handicap here last out. |
White Platin | Comes here in terrific form having won handicaps, two of them over 1400m here, on his last three starts. Chances again, especially if the ground is riding slow. |
