The Hong Kong Jockey Club Chief Stipendiary Steward (CSS), Mr Kim Kelly, will retire in January 2023. Mr Kelly joined the Club in 2002 and was appointed CSS in 2009.

The Club has recruited Mr Marc Van Gestel as Mr Kelly's successor. Mr Van Gestel commenced his career as a Stipendiary Steward in 1992, becoming Racing NSW's Deputy Chairman of Stewards in 2006, and Racing NSW's Chairman of Stewards in 2016.
