G1 – 1600m – Turf
1 |
Cafe Pharoah |
Has shown consistency over dirt with six wins. Succeeded to defend the title in the G1 February Stakes (1600m) and has not run since. |
2 |
Vin De Garde |
Only one success at Graded class in Japan, but ran 2nd and 3rd in the 2021 and 2022 G1 Dubai Turf (1800m). If he can be settled in the race, the quality horse should be a threat. |
3 |
Lotus Land |
Improved a lot in recent two starts from disappointing two-digit finish in the G1 Mile Championship last November. 1600m is her most liking. |
4 |
Danon The Kid |
Three time winner at 1800m and 2000m and finished in the money in two starts over 1600m. Well 3rd in the G1 Mile Championship last November but did not prove his favoritism last out at G2 (1800m) in February. Has been training well and in good shape. |
5 |
Ho O Amazon |
Three wins and three seconds over the distance. Races on speed or sits handy. Finished out of frame in two starts over the course and distance which will be his concern. |
6 |
Karate |
Finished inside top three in the first three runs this term but seventh-place last out in the G2 Yomiuri Milers Cup in April, which he was unluckily bumped. |
7 |
Fine Rouge |
Consistent performer over the distance finishing inside top three in all four starts at G1 and G3. Finished out a four-horse rally to secure a runner-up seat in the latest G1 Victoria Mile. |
8 |
Elusive Panther |
Four-time winner over 1600m and has won in recent four starts. Now looks primed for his first Group 1 success. Should be a big contender. |
9 |
Schnell Meister |
The 4-year-old Kingman colt consistently performed well at top-class race and looked primed for his first overseas G1 win but finished 8th in the Dubai Turf last out. |
10 |
Air Lolonois |
Two time winner at Listed level but yet to win at Graded class. His form suggests the distance should suit him. |
11 |
Catedral |
Top-two finish in four runs in G3 company, but no match for the winners in two starts at G1 in 2021. Now out of form in recent two starts this term. |
12 |
Diatonic |
Back to his good form for his third graded stakes success at G3 in February but was not disgraced last out. He will also benefit from a fast pace. |
13 |
Songline |
Finished in the money in all four runs over the course and distance. Won the G3 1351 Turf Sprint in Riyadh in February before 2.3L 5th in the G1 Victoria Mile last out. |
14 |
Soul Rush |
Succeeded to be undefeated in four starts and showed his staying acceleration for the first graded stakes win in G2 last out. |
15 |
Serifos |
The runner-up to the Japanese Derby winner Do Deuce in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes (1600m) did not justify and finished 4th on his return from five-month break in the latest G1 NHK Mile Cup. Good chance. |
16 |
Resistencia |
Has not tasted any G1 success since 2019 but showed brave 3rd finish in the latest G1 Victoria Mile. Keeps good form. |
17 |
Salios |
Impressed as juvenile and 3-year-old, but has not quite progressed. Ran well 3rd in the G1 Hong Kong Mile but did not make much of an impact when 15th at his first 1200m in March. |
18 |
Naran Huleg |
The 6-year-old sprint champion who showed impressive burst of speed to win the G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen. First run over the distance in over 3 years. His good condition could consider him a value bet. |
