Looked the likely winner of a novices’ event at Bath on his second start but found the front-running winner finding more. Still, it was a promising effort with the pair clear of the third.

Very inexperienced on last month’s career debut, but he was getting to see what was required late in that maiden at Chepstow last month, finishing nicely into fifth place.

Locally trained, he was a very cheap purchase and more experienced rivals look preferred on this debut run.

Beaten a long way in both starts, and it would come as a huge shock if he made a major impact here.

Two solid efforts in maiden company so far, finishing fourth and second. He steps up to this trip, no worries surely as his pedigree boasts plenty of stamina.

Narrow winner of a 1000m novices’ event at Ripon in April, but well beaten in two starts since and this looks a very tough ask.

Unfancied in the betting prior to his debut, and inexperienced in that Nottingham maiden, but showing plenty of promise to finish second. Up in trip for this second start.

Slowly away and racing too keenly she could never make a serious impact at York on her debut. Second at Ripon on Wednesday.
