In accordance with usual practice, urine samples were obtained from all winning and second placed horses at the Sha Tin racemeeting on Wednesday, 27 October 2021.  Accordingly, a routine urine sample was taken from JADE THEATRE which finished second in the Tin Ha Shan Handicap.

The Stewards have today been advised by the Head of Racing Laboratory/Chief Racing Chemist, Dr E N M Ho, that the post-race urine sample obtained from JADE THEATRE on analysis has shown the presence of omeprazole.

Mr P F Yiu, trainer of JADE THEATRE, has today been advised of the analyst’s finding.

The matter is now adjourned to a date to be fixed.  A further release will be issued at the appropriate time.
