1400m – Turf
Alba Power |
Has had training problems with some breaks between races. But he did run really well when third here in June, also winning over this trip at a minor track in August. |

Alfieri |
A veteran now but still capable of big efforts, winning at Lyon Parilly earlier in the year and placed on his last two starts. Probably better over longer trips than this. |

Be My Day |
He easily won a 1600m handicap here in July and would have live chances if able to repeat that here as he is versatile tripwise. |

Brouillard |
A strong finish saw him defeat 15 rivals in a handicap over this course and distance last month. No surprise if he puts in another good show here. |

Caliste |
Favourite for a course and distance handicap at this meeting last year, fighting hard to get the winners’ money. Has generally run well since. |

Favaritx |
The winner of one of his eight starts but appears to try hard and has finished second five times including at this track. He will surely win again soon. |

French Conte |
Gained some victories over this trip earlier in his career. Didn’t have an ideal trip when quite a close sixth over this course and distance last month. |

Hootton |
Chantilly seems to bring the best out of him. Recent starts have been disappointing but at least his handicap mark has eased. |

Kaviare |
The narrow winner of a handicap over this trip at Chantilly in July. Failed to justify favouritism last time though not beaten far. |

King Robbe |
Did win a handicap on very soft over this course and distance earlier this year. But three runs in August were not encouraging. |

Millfield |
This veteran went very close to winning a heavy ground course and distance handicap at this meeting last year. Disappointing lately but capable of a sudden return to form. |

Mon Ami L’ecossais |
It is encouraging that his runs over this course and distance have good placed efforts, the ground being heavy each time. |

Power Jack |
Not been far in any recent start and with a good third over this course and distance last time, looking briefly like winning. |

Roderick |
Only just failed in a tight finish over this course and distance in June. An easy winner over Deauville’s straight 1600m subsequently. |

Saga Timgad |
Ran his best race for some time when winning a well-contested 1500m handicap at Deauville on his latest start, in August. |

Tibasti |
A four times winner but disappointing lately and looks an unlikely winner despite a slipping handicap mark. |

Toijk |
Back in 2018 he only just failed to win a G3 over this course and distance, and he has twice only just failed to win 1400m Longchamp handicaps thereafter. |

We Ride The World |
This smart handicapper is more familiar over 1600m than this trip. Generally in good shape this season, and beat 14 rivals here in July. |
