The Hong Kong Jockey Club notes that the Government has issued a compulsory testing notice in the late evening of 27 September 2021 involving preliminary positive imported cases which by definition were tested positive when they arrived in Hong Kong. Based on the government notice, the imported cases, who have visited a number of premises in Hong Kong, had fulfilled the requirement of presenting a negative Covid-19 test result to depart from Hong Kong.

Three specified premises of the Happy Valley Racecourse having been visited by the imported cases in the evening of 8 September as follows:

1. Forecourt Zone B
2. Public Takeaway Counter (1A), 1/F, Grandstand
3. Forecourt Takeaway Counter (GC), Forecourt (Beer Garden)

The Club would like to remind visitors present at the above premises between 5pm and midnight on 8 September to comply with the government’s requirement to undergo a Covid-19 nucleic acid test by 29 September.

It should be noted that in the interest of public health protection, the Club has put in place a series of stringent public health measures for race meetings. Visitors are required to make advance bookings, scan the LeaveHomeSafe QR code or provide their contact information, receive temperature screening before entry and wear face masks during the race meeting.
