| 3 | Good Question | Without a win so far this season and his fourth in a Listed event over this course and distance this month does not appear to represent strong enough form to win this. |
| 4 | Red Verdon | A veteran who has been campaigned around the world, his ten career victories including five at stakes level. Won a Sandown Listed race two starts back, but this looks tougher. |
| 5 | Rip Van Lips | Didn’t last home when at long odds for a marathon G1 at Ascot, but is proven over stayers’ trips at a lesser level in Germany winning a 3200m G2 at Hoppegarten in May. |
| 6 | Skazino | Has a high winning strike-rate and seems even better now that he has moved up to this sort of trip, winning a G3 and G2 at Longchamp in May. Led but just caught in a Longchamp G2 last time. |
