Listed – 3000m – Turf
| Praetorius | Has decent winning form in staying events in Germany but generally that is not as good as French form, and he was well beaten at Chantilly in June. |
| Stag Horn | Not short on stamina and led most of the way in Britain’s longest Flat race, at Royal Ascot. Winning possibilities for this consistent four-time winner, especially on slow ground. |
| Brokeback Mountain | Came from the back to run a good third in a 3200m G2 at Hoppegarten in May, his last start. A consistent sort who always seems to do his best. |
| Good Question | Has plenty of win and placed form but his fourth in a G2 over this course and distance last August was probably one of the best runs of his career. |
| Noa Lea | Stepping up to a 3200m trip at Hamburg last time brought about a career-best performance, winning that Listed contest having previously been competing in handicaps. |
| Lordofthehorizon | Has won his last two starts in Madrid, and proven effective over this trip. Generally speaking though Spanish form is much weaker than French form. |
| Karlstad | Won a handicap over 3200m on heavy ground at Deauville last August. Generally good performances since. |
| Nagano Gold | His three runs this season have come in a G3, a G2 and a G1 and he has been outclassed each time. He is also not yet proven at this trip. |
| Nao Da Mais | A multiple G1 winner in South America in 2019 but yet to reach those dizzy heights in France. However a Saint-Cloud victory in June proves he can handle this trip. |
| Night Tornado | Very effective in Poland where he gained his latest victory, over 2600m in July. Now needs to handle the deeper opposition that he is likely to encounter here. |
| Hopeful | Suffered from illness but has come back strongly, winning his last two starts and just getting the better of a really tight finish at Longchamp. Up in trip. Slow ground ideal. |
| Tangut | Ran quite a good second over this course and distance at last year’s Deauville meeting. She also won over 3200m at Dortmund on her latest start. |
