Took time to get organised but eventually well on top in a Listowel maiden this month. Down in trip and faster ground expected. Unlikely to be fast enough.

Albion Square

Gained his first win on his third and latest start, just needing to be pushed out to win a maiden at Navan over this trip. Clearly an improving colt but more needed.

Amalfi Coast

Gained a first win on his latest start when leading throughout in a 1200m Cork maiden last month. Drops in trip but is very speedily bred.

Amazonian Dream

Three good efforts out of three so far, latterly when fourth at Salisbury. He would probably have finished second in that 1000m novices’ event given a cleaner passage.

Armor

Well backed to make a winning start at Doncaster in April, and it didn’t take much effort to get the job done. Second and third enhanced that form with subsequent victories.

Barging Thru

The stable have won this before. His two starts have involved tight finishes, narrowly winning an all-weather sprint and narrowly beaten at Redcar.

Bicep

Always prominent, he just managed to hold on for victory in an all-weather Lingfield novices’ event. A good start but now on to the turf and dropping to 1000m could be an issue.

Bond Chairman

Speedily bred, he kicked off his career when a well-backed winner at Musselburgh. Up to Listed company at Sandown last time, he ran respectably without ever looking like winning.

Boonie

A poor gate didn’t prevent him making a winning debut at Beverley in April. Reappearing at Musselburgh this month he travelled like the winner but was just caught.

Chipotle

Won his first two starts, latterly when proving his effectiveness for this course and distance. Disappointed at Sandown last time, but didn’t look happy on the slow ground that day.

Dig Two

Briefly looked outpaced over this trip at Newmarket in May but responded well to pressure for an easy win. Followed up with another easy win, over 1200m at Chelmsford.

Dusky Prince

Bred for speed and showed plenty of that to win on his debut at Brighton. However the form of that race has not worked out plus he never threatened at Epsom subsequently.

Ernie’s Valentine

Attracted some betting support prior to his debut, at Leicester this month. And this strong-looking colt justified it by proving too swift for his five rivals.

Flaming Rib

Didn’t seem fancied for his second career start, but that didn’t prevent him leading all the way to win easily. Ran a solid second over further at Epsom last time, weakening late on.

Home City

Ran a fair sixth at Salisbury last month, but he looks to need more experience and maybe more distance also.

Kaboo

The only first-time starter in this field.  Bred to be fast, and his owner has done well with his Royal Ascot runners.

Lord Gorgeous

Justified favouritism when winning on Dundalk’s all-weather surface in April. Didn’t do as well at The Curragh subsequently.

Poderoso

An expensive purchase who showed encouraging placed form on his first two starts. Then started favourite at Lingfield but raced much too keenly. This drop back to 1000m may help.

Robasta

Placed on all three starts including when third of six over this course and distance in May. Failed to justify favouritism at Newcastle subsequently, looking a slightly tricky ride.

Royal Emerther

Bred to be speedy and improved on his second run when third at Ripon this month. Unlikely to be quick enough.

Silks Pass

Although it didn’t look a strong race, he was always in control in the closing stages to make a winning debut at Redcar late last month. Trainer having an encouraging first season.

Spring Is Sprung

Showed the benefit of his debut run when gaining a Windsor victory in April. Mixed messages as to the value of the form of that race but he’s speedily bred and could improve.

Superior Force

Briefly outpaced but too strong for his seven rivals late on his debut, at Salisbury. Couldn’t handle one rival (who has been beaten since) when upped to 1200m last time.

Tipperary Sunset

Looks one of the main players here, unbeaten and winning both his starts from the front. Latterly the Beverley conditions’ race he won has often produced classy winners in the past.

Freyabella

Both starts have been on the Lingfield all-weather track, showing some promise first time but none second time. An unlikely winner.

Golden Bell

An impressive Keeneland winner over 900m. The issue is the switch to a grass surface but her breeding is quite positive and she has reportedly done plenty of work on turf.

Guilded

Didn’t show much first time but progressed to come close to a shock win at Beverley later in May. Will be an outsider but could outrun her odds.

Ruthin

An impressive 6L Keeneland turf winner, who has also caught the attention of clockwatchers with her workouts. A powerful sprinting type, she is expected to make a big impact.
