Opening of 19 Off-Course Betting Branches to provide deposit services

06/01/2021 16:47

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) has opened three Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) from 15 December last year to provide services of betting account deposits or withdrawals and cash-in of cash vouchers or winning tickets. As the Lunar New Year is approaching, to meet the needs of customers and reduce the risk of over-crowding, the Club has decided to open 19 OCBBs from 8 January to provide these services. Betting services and opening or re-activation of betting accounts will not be available. The Club will keep monitoring the situation and make a further announcement regarding the arrangements of OCBBs in February.

To prevent over-crowding, horse races and football matches will not be broadcast at the OCBBs and customers are required to leave the OCBBs after completion of service. Public health measures including body temperature scanning, mask-wearing, social distancing and cleaning and disinfecting will continue to be implemented in the OCBBs.
