Cosmo Djemila

Finished 5th in her 2 recent starts at this level, both over 2600m. Good stamina and speed but lacks a turn of foot. First time at Nakayama. Prefers slightly soft ground.

Diastima

Classy 3yo colt who has finished inside the top three in all but one of his 7 starts. This will be his first race to the right since finishing 3rd in a 2000m G3 at this track in January. Versatile. Has stamina. First time over 2500m but he ran 2nd over 2400m last start. Handles all going.

Divine Force

Consistent stayer who finished 2L 4th to World Premiere in the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) last year. Placed in 4 of his last 5 starts. Returned after 7 months to finish a neck 2nd at the course and distance on 6 December last out. Runs from far off pace.  Excellent late speed.

Dream Spirit

Raced primarily to left. Has raced twice over 2500m at Nakayama for 5th and 6th. Missed board five times in next seven starts, last five all when racing to the left. Return to right-handed racing at Nakayama a plus. Good speed. Tends to run midfield. Improvement expected.

Ever Garden

Finished in top two in six starts from eight. Has won up to 2200m. Returning from 8-month layoff but well beaten at the same class, course and distance on 6 December last out. Tends to settle poorly. Distance may be a stretch.

Lahire

Big colt with good early speed. Won once and placed three times in last 4 starts. Raced primarily over 2000m. Moving up in class after win over Nakayama 2200m last out. Likely popular but still lacking competitive spirit. Distance is a query.

Lead The Field

Only won twice from 27 starts. Finished 10th at Tokyo over 2400m in late November latest. Likely outclassed.

Livre

Raced primarily on dirt and to the left. Finished 6th at Tokyo over 2400m on turf in mid-October. Decent speed. Wild card.

Masurao

Dual-purpose veteran stayer with only 3 wins from 36 starts.  Moved to jumps early this year, notching his most recent win in a 2890m maiden at Niigata. Returned to Flat and finished fourth at Tokyo over 2400m at this level last out. Solid runner. Work ample. Could surprise.

Meiner Stellaire

Raced primarily at 2000m and over, has one third and two other finishes on the board from 8 starts since moving to this class. Coming off a last-start 5th at Tokyo over 2400m in late November. Good stamina, but looking overtaxed in work. Could make money with right trip.

Pele

Versatile filly who is consistently in the money, weight high in late August and disappointed with a distant 6th. First time at this distance but should be competitive. Condition on race day a key.

Sanshiro

Seemed distracted when wearing a pacifier for first time, but last out turned in best result in three starts at Nakayama over 2500m this year. Has six seconds at this level from summer 2019, also a fair 5th in a 3600m G2 late last year. Decent speed. Could be value to a trio.

Satono Sirius

Has two seconds and a third from 6 starts at this level. Returned late November after 5 months off. Unruly in gate, broke awkwardly and failed to gain in stretch. Improvement expected. First time racing at Nakayama.

Smile

Versatile stayer who has posted two 4ths and a 6th since moving up to this level. Excellent speed and good late kick, but distance may be a stretch.

T O Forte

Seasoned stayer finished 5th (with Tanta Fuerza in 4th) last out over Nakayama 2500m. Honest runner. Consistently makes board. Has chance.

Tanta Fuerza

Best finish a 4th on three occasions and consistently made board in 9 starts since moving to this class. Tends to run from far off pace. Good speed. Cheekpieces last out a help. Has chance.
