Simulcast and betting arrangements for Melbourne Cup Day 4 Place dividends offered for overseas races with 21 or more declared starters

HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast 7 races of Melbourne Cup Day from Flemington Racecourse, Australia on Tuesday 3 November. Bets will be accepted* for these overseas races.

The tickets sales for Melbourne Cup Day will be available from 12:00 noon on Monday 2 November. (Subject to further announcement by the Club)

From 1 November, 4 Place dividends will be offered for any overseas race with 21 or more declared starters at the commencement of selling. Dividends will be paid to customers who have picked a horse in the first four places of an overseas race. Please visit the Club’s website www.hkjc.com for more details about the amendments to the Place betting of the Horse Race Betting Rules.

– Rebates are not available on all bets placed on overseas races
– If there is no winner for the Double Trio, the jackpot generated will be carried forward to Queen Elizabeth II Cup Day on 15 November 2020
– The final betting pool arrangement is subject to the final announcement of the Club

Broadcast arrangements

Simulcast races will be broadcast on TV and radio. Customers can also review the overseas races at www.hkjcracing.com one hour after the running of the race.

Broadcast arrangement at Off-Course Betting Branches

All public halls at Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) will not broadcast simulcast races but only audio broadcast is available. However, Priority Zones, theatres, some media halls# at OCBBs and Wins Cafe at North Point will broadcast the simulcast races. Special measures will be implemented and notices will be posted to ensure appropriate social distancing. Customers are required to observe the social distancing and group gathering restrictions as promulgated by the HKSAR Government during their stay in the OCBBs.

‘S2’ must be indicated for overseas race bets

Customers betting with cash or through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the ‘S2 box’ and race number of the overseas race on the ticket or as required by the Interactive Services interfaces. Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input ‘overseas race’ and the race number respectively.

If ‘S2’ or ‘Overseas race’ is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available at all OCBBs, via Interactive Services, and on the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.

Ticket Sales Arrangement for the Overseas Races

The tickets sales for Melbourne Cup Day will be available from 12:00 noon on Monday 2 November. (Subject to further announcement by the Club). Selling hours for the overseas races are:
