The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) has been closely monitoring the latest COVID-19 epidemic situation. As the epidemic is easing, the HKSAR Government has recently further relaxed anti-epidemic measures. After careful consideration of different factors including the operation of Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) and the demand of customers, the Club has decided to open 19 OCBBs# on race days from 1 November. In addition, from 10 November, Mark Six lottery draws will be held twice a week every Tuesday and Friday.
19 OCBBs to open on race days
From 1 November, 19 OCBBs will open on race days* to provide betting and customer services. However, there will not be live video broadcast at betting halls (only audio broadcast will be provided). Customers who possess HKJC eWallet may place bets at the self-vending terminals to avoid prolonged waiting time.
Public health measures including body temperature scanning, mask-wearing, social distancing and regular cleaning and disinfecting will be implemented in the OCBBs. All customers are required to observe the prevailing social distancing and group gathering restrictions as promulgated by the HKSAR Government and leave the OCBBs after completion of services.
