Subsequent to the running of Race 2 at the Sha Tin racemeeting conducted yesterday, the Stewards were incorrectly advised that KELMIMI WINS, trained by Mr J Moore, was found to have a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. In accordance with established practice, it was notified that KELMIMI WINS would be required to be subjected to an official veterinary examination (“OVE”) before being allowed to race again.
The Stewards have this morning been advised that the information which was provided to them yesterday was not correct and that KELMIMI WINS was not found to have a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. Rather, a veterinary examination of the horse after the race did not reveal any significant findings.
Accordingly, the OVE embargo placed upon KELMIMI WINS yesterday has been rescinded and the horse is eligible to be entered to race with immediate effect.
