At their meeting held on 5 June 2020, the Licensing Committee resolved to grant a full-season Club Jockey’s Licence to Alexis Badel for the 2020/2021 racing season. The announcement of Jockey Badel’s licence being granted was held over until it was established when he would likely receive approval to enter Hong Kong. It is anticipated that Jockey Badel will arrive in Hong Kong on 10 August and after completing the mandatory quarantine period will commence riding track work on Monday, 24 August 2020.
