Additional Veterinary Reports from 1 July 2020 Race Meeting

RACE 2 – FORTUNATE RUNNER

FORTUNATE RUNNER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse had bled from both nostrils.  FORTUNATE RUNNER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K W Lui this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNATE RUNNER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – WONDER BRAHMA

WONDER BRAHMA, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.  WONDER BRAHMA was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, WONDER BRAHMA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – HANDSOME REBEL

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that HANDSOME REBEL was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing.  Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME REBEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
