RACE 7 – BEAUTY DAY
BEAUTY DAY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. BEAUTY DAY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T P Yung this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a stiff and restricted action. As previously advised, BEAUTY DAY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during last night’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
