1400m – Turf
1 | Made in Russia | Ran the fastest final 400m last start behind a rising star and if he reproduces that effort then he can win here. However, he has previously been declared a roarer and must be taken on trust. |
2 | Hardcore | Stormed home to win last start over 1800m prior to a break. Resumes and trialled well but has never won over 1400m in three attempts. |
3 | Lim’s Passion | Needs a fast early speed to produce a big finish. Got conditions to suit last start when he stormed home to win at this level. Looks a chance again. |
4 | Murrayfield | Withdrawn |
5 | Galileo’s Approach | Led all the way to win two starts ago before showing speed and weakening badly in the straight last start. Take on trust. |
6 | Bartimaeus | Has struggled to win since scoring a Singapore debut victory in February this year. No excuses last start and place at best. |
7 | Delaware | Good tough win at Restricted Maiden level last start and has shown nice ability. Rises in class and can measure up to these. Good chance. |
8 | Yulong Fast Steed | Honest sprinter who appears better suited over shorter trips on the polytrack. Looks tested over 1400m on the turf. |
9 | Leatherhead | Has been disappointing since arriving in Singapore but has trialled well and is capable of producing better efforts. Value chance. |
10 | My Big Boss | Has been struggling of late to find his best form but looked unlucky last start when held up at a crucial stage. Value chance. |
11 | Diamond Ring | Lightly raced and clearly has ability. Yet to miss the place at three starts and stretches out to the 1400m for the first time. Can surprise. |
12 | Performante | Backs up quickly from last week when he performed okay. This race looks tough and place chance at best. |
13 | High Limit | Led all the way to win at an easier level and rises in class now. This appears tough. |
14 | My Boss | Well placed with the light weight and can sneak into the money. |
