Freelance Jockey M L Yeung, who was stood down from riding during the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 26 May 2019 due to a left eye injury, has today been passed fit to resume race riding by the Club’s Chief Medical Officer.
The Chief Medical Officer has also advised that Jockey Joao Moreira is seeking medical attention due to illness. A decision on Jockey Moreira’s fitness to ride at the Happy Valley on Wednesday, 29 May 2019 will be made tomorrow morning. A further release will be issued at that time.
As a consequence of the uncertainty regarding Moreira’s availability to fulfil his riding engagements, Jockey Challenge betting will not be open today and will commence at midday tomorrow.
