The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting six races on Poule d’Essai des Poulains Day from ParisLongchamp Racecourse in France on Sunday, 12 May.
The ParisLongchamp racecourse is renowned as the home to Europe’s most famous race – the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The racecourse has over 160 years of history and had recently undergone extensive redevelopment in which a brand new four-storey grandstand has been built where racegoers can now enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of the entire track as well as the Paris skyline.
The Poule d’Essai des Poulains (reserved for colts) and the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (restricted to fillies) bring together the best three-year-old milers of Europe. They are the equivalent of the French 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas, and the first leg of the respective Triple Crown titles for colts and fillies.
