The Club’s Racing Medical Officer has advised that scans of the injury that Jockey Jack H N Wong sustained to his right ankle in the barriers on FRIENDS OF NANJING prior to the running of Race 9 at yesterday’s Sha Tin meeting have revealed a minor fracture and ligament damage.  The Racing Medical Officer has further advised that Jockey Wong will remain stood down as the injury will likely take 2 to 3 weeks to fully resolve.  A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Jockey Wong’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
