FWD Champions Day offers iPhone handsets to be won in photo contest

FWD Champions Day promises great racing at Sha Tin Racecourse this Sunday, 28 April when elite gallopers from around the world will race for HK$58 million in three world class Group 1 races.

Racegoers may join the FWD Champions Day Mobile Photography Contest and stand a chance to win a fabulous iPhone handset. Simply capture their memorable moments of FWD Champions Day at Sha Tin Racecourse, upload the photos to Instagram and hashtag #HKChampionsDay.
Grand Prize (1 winner): iPhone XS Max, 256GB (Value: HK$10,799)
2nd Prize (1 winner): iPhone XS, 256GB (Value: HK$9,899)
3rd Prize (1 winner): iPhone X, 256GB (Value: HK$9,099)

FWD Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2000m) will be staged as Race 8 and will offer total prize money of HK$24 million. The Hon. Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, GBS, JP, The President of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR, will present the trophy to winning connections after the race.

The HK$18 million FWD Champions Mile (1600m) will be run as Race 7.  The Hon. Michael Wong Wai-lun, JP, Secretary for Development of the HKSAR Government, will present the trophy to the winning connections after the race.

Richard Li Tzar-kai, Chairman and Chief Executive, Pacific Century Group, and The Hon. Ronald Arculli GBM, CVO, GBS, OBE, JP, Chairman of the Board of FWD Group will attend the trophy presentation ceremonies of the two races as souvenirs presenters.

The HK$16 million Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m) will be run as Race 6. Dr. Anthony W K Chow, Chairman of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, will officiate at the trophy presentation ceremony.

Renowned artists Cheung Chi-lam and Ali Lee will be at Sha Tin Racecourse as FWD Champions Day Ambassadors to cheer on the runners.

Other on-course activities not to be missed on 28 April:

  • A brand new series of themed merchandise for FWD Champions Day will be available at Gift at Races souvenir shops at Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses on 28 April, while stocks last;
  • A variety of culinary delights will be available at MezzaOne, Sha Tin Racecourse befitted to the international theme of the day.
