The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased two colts at the recent Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for a total outlay of A$580,000 (approximately HK$2.996 million)
Lot 230 is an athletic youngster with an exciting pedigree. A son of the top-class speed influence I Am Invincible, the colt’s unraced dam is a half-sister to G3 winner Index Linked and to the dam of this year’s BMW Hong Kong Derby contender Helene Leadingstar. All trace to the great Juddmonte broodmare Slightly Dangerous, this colt’s fourth dam, who produced G1 winners Warning, Commander In Chief and Yashmak among several talented off-spring.
Lot 175 is a colt by the Australian champion Lonhro, his dam being a half-sister to the speedy Listed winner Royal Babe and to the dams of the sharp G3 scorers Heart Testa and Royal Tithe. The family is a prolific source of sprint winners.
