The Chief Medical Officer has today advised the Stewards that following treatment to a lower back complaint which caused Jockey M L Yeung to be stood down from riding at last night’s Happy Valley meeting, the injury has deteriorated further and as a consequence, Jockey Yeung will not be fit to fulfil riding engagements at the Sha Tin race meeting on Saturday, 2 March 2019.  The Chief Medical Officer has advised that, pending the results of further tests, it is likely that Jockey Yeung’s back injury may result in him being indisposed for a number of weeks.  A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Jockey Yeung’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
