Additional Veterinary Reports from 27 February 2019 Race Meeting

RACE 2 – SANGRIA

After the race, SANGRIA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SANGRIA was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D E Ferraris this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, SANGRIA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 5 – SPINNING DANCER

SPINNING DANCER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. SPINNING DANCER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SPINNING DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 5 – VICTORY POWER

VICTORY POWER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. VICTORY POWER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer R Gibson this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.  VICTORY POWER will also be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test as previously advised.

RACE 8 – COMPLACENCY

COMPLACENCY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. COMPLACENCY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, COMPLACENCY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during last night’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
