Additional Veterinary Reports from 10 February 2019 Race Meeting

RACE 1 – GOBI STORM

GOBI STORM, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. GOBI STORM was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T P Yung this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, GOBI STORM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 5 – MOTHER WISHES

The Veterinary Officer reported that MOTHER WISHES was sore in its right front tendon on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, MOTHER WISHES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – FRESH POWER

FRESH POWER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. FRESH POWER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, FRESH POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 10 – SMART BOY

The Veterinary Officer reported that SMART BOY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SMART BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
