14/12/2018 12:37

Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage the Sha Tin Racecourse 40th Anniversary Raceday on Saturday, 29 December.  Racegoers will bask in an array of special offers and exciting entertainment including special-edition souvenirs and a spectacular opening ceremony. There’s the chance to relive some of the signature moments of the track at the digital photo booth and to enjoy delicacies that evoke fond memories of Hong Kong’s iconic landmark.

Souvenir gift: Special Edition 40th Anniversary Photo Frame
Racegoers will receive a photo frame featuring memories of Sha Tin Racecourse since its opening in 1978 upon admission to Sha Tin Racecourse (before Race 5) while stocks last.

Spectacular opening ceremony ushers in a special day
The Opening Ceremony to be staged at the Parade Ring will open with a powerful and vibrant lion dance.  Complementing the sporting spirit of horseracing; elite athletes from The Hong Kong Sports Institute, Miss Grace Lau Mo-sheung and Miss Juanita Mok Uen-ying – both 2018 Asian Games medallists – will demonstrate their skills on stage.  A quiz game, with prizes, on the history of Sha Tin Racecourse will ensure the audience take home fond memories of the day and renew their connections with the world-class venue.
