On Sunday, 30 September, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast six races from the Sprinters Stakes Day at Nakayama Racecourse in Japan (1st race 12:25pm).
The best of Japan’s speed stars will line up for the Sprinters Stakes (G1 1200m for 3yo+) which kicks off Japan’s autumn Grade 1 season. Hong Kong’s representative is Lucky Bubbles (trained by Francis Lui) and the gelding is seeking a second G1 victory to complement his success in the 2017 Chairman’s Sprint Prize.
The details of supporting races will be announced later in the week.
Final declarations with barrier draws for the Sprinters Stakes will be available on Friday, 28 September while the final declarations with barrier draws for the other races will be published at HKJC.com on Saturday, 29 September.
