The Stewards today inquired into a report made by Mr S Railton, who was a duty Stipendiary Steward in attendance at track work this morning, regarding a verbal altercation between licensed Trainer A T Millard and licensed Assistant Trainer J K S Ho.  Evidence was taken from Mr Millard, Mr Ho and licensed Trainer C W Chang, to whom Mr Ho is allocated to for the current racing season.

Mr Ho pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct under Rule 155(5) in that in the Trainers’ Stand during this morning’s track work session, he did direct foul and offensive language at Mr Millard.

After having taken into consideration all the circumstances including that Mr Ho had previously been issued with a warning letter regarding an incident involving Mr Millard, the Stewards deemed it appropriate for Mr Ho to be fined a sum of $10,000.

A report into this matter will be forwarded to Stables Management for their consideration.
