Hong Kong’s 2017/18 Season Finale race meeting will be held this Sunday (15 July) at Sha Tin Racecourse. The awarding of the Champion Trainer and Champion Jockey prizes, as well as the unveiling of the Tony Cruz Award winner, are among the afternoon’s many highlights, as is the ever-popular jockeys’ parade.

After the conclusion of racing, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Chief Executive Officer Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges will present this season’s Tony Cruz Award. The Club’s Chairman Dr. Simon S O Ip will present the Champion Trainer award, while the Club’s Deputy Chairman Mr. Anthony W K Chow will present the Champion Jockey award. The result of the Most Admired Overseas Horse of the Year, voted for by the public, will also be announced. Connections of all Champion Awards winners will appear on stage for a group photo to round off the 2017/18 racing season.

The day will close with the ever-popular Season Finale Parade on the turf track, with jockeys saying farewell and thanks to fans while handing out souvenirs.

Throughout the day, popular racing-themed merchandise will be on sale at up to 70% off the regular retail price at the Season Finale Bazaar, located at 1/F, Grandstand II at Sha Tin Racecourse (near Mezza One). The Club’s Horse Mascots will also make an appearance for photo opportunities with racing fans.
