| 1 | Point Hope | Has finished an encouraging second on her last two starts – both around this distance. On quick ground at Newmarket last time she looked all set to win only to be closed down late on. |
| 2 | Arrogant | Formerly trained in France when he won on soft ground over this distance at a minor track. He did show some promise for this stable when second at Bath in March though the ground was heavy then. Well beaten last time and hard to fancy. |
| 3 | Manthoor | Becoming expensive to follow after finishing second three times. However following a wind operation and a break he was an impressive maiden winner over this distance on fast ground at Lingfield last month. Looks fairly treated weightwise on this handicap debut. |
| 4 | Los Camachos | Has moved from an all-weather surface to the grass and, despite starting at long odds each time, he has shown plenty of dash in fast-ground handicaps over this distance at Doncaster and Newmarket, finishing second and third. Expected to sit near the speed. |
| 5 | Cosmopolitan Queen | Sometimes disappointing during a winless first season but she has won two handicaps this season, including over this course and distance when she defied a 7lb rise in the weights for her previous win with a determined effort. Fast ground suits. |
| 6 | Lethal Lunch | Ran quite well in fourth on his previous Sandown visit. And he posted a career-best performance on his most recent start when responding well to get the best of a tight finish over around this distance on fast ground at Haydock. He is 3lb higher in the handicap now. |
| 7 | Rogue | Appears to be in good shape judged by a closing second in a 1400m handicap on fast ground at Newmarket last month. To be ridden by a talented apprentice and looks handicapped for a prominent show. |
