The Stewards have contacted Mr W Y So, the trainer of BRAVO WATCHMAN, which has been declared to run in the stated race regarding that horse having missed track work between Monday, 23 April 2018 and Sunday, 29 April 2018, both dates inclusive.

Mr So reported that after working on Sunday, 22 April 2018, BRAVO WATCHMAN shifted its left fore shoe, resulting in a nail puncturing the sole of that foot.  He said that due to this injury and to ensure that the wound did not become infected, the horse was treated appropriately and was not able to work on the tracks during the stated period.

He advised since resuming track work on Monday, 30 April 2018, BRAVO WATCHMAN had galloped on two occasions and he has been satisfied with these gallops.  He added that, in particular, the horse galloped on Wednesday, 9 May 2018 and was ridden by Jockey J Moreira who has been declared to ride the horse in the stated race and who informed him that the horse had worked well.
