The Stewards have been notified by Racing NSW Stewards that Club Jockey Zac Purton was found guilty of a charge of careless riding on his mount ICON OF DUBAI in the Carbine Club Stakes (Group 3) which was conducted at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 7 April 2018.
They have advised that Jockey Purton’s licence to ride in races has been suspended for a period to commence on Monday, 9 April 2018 and to expire on Wednesday, 18 April 2018, on which day he may resume race riding. As such, Jockey Purton will be eligible to accept race riding engagement at the Happy Valley race meeting to be conducted on Wednesday, 18 April 2018. Accordingly, he will not ride at the Happy Valley race meeting on 11 April 2018 and the Sha Tin race meeting on 15 April 2018.
