Meet the “Lucky Stars” celebrities and get a souvenir keychain on January 1 race meeting

The “Lucky Start January 1 Raceday” will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse this coming Monday and racing fans can enjoy an array of fabulous on-course activities to bring good luck for 2018. 

Immediate good fortune will greet racegoers, with each person receiving upon admission a Lucky Keychain. The offer will continue until the start of Race 6 or while stocks last.

Fans can try for extra luck with a series of mini games, hosted by “Lucky Stars” Eliza Sam and Tyson Chak, offering fantastic on-the-spot prizes. Racegoers can also join the game booths at Concourse to win some souvenirs for a lucky start at 2018.

A range of Lucky Stable Series brand new merchandise for 2018 will also be on sale at Sha Tin Racecourse from 1 January. All merchandise items will be available at designated sales counters at the 1/F, Grandstand II and 1/F Members’ Betting Hall, as well as the Gift at Races souvenir shops at Sha Tin Racecourse.

A variety of New Year specialty dishes from different countries will also be available at Mezza One for racegoers’ dining enjoyment.

Racing fans everywhere will benefit from “Lucky Start” top-ups on 1 January. For the Triple Trio, the payout for a single $10 winning unit is expected to reach $17 million. Meanwhile, the Quartet & First 4 Merged Pool for Race 7 and Race 11 will be topped up with $1 million each.

On the track, the day’s highlight will be the first Group race for 2018, the Group 3 Chinese Club Challenge Cup Handicap. There will be 11 races on the day, with the first starting at 12:30 pm. Sha Tin Racecourse will open at 10:30 am for admission.

All racegoers must be aged 18 or above.
