The Club’s Racing Medical Officer Dr William Woo has provided an update on the condition of Apprentice H N Wong who sustained an injury to his lower back when dislodged from MALMSTEEN in Race 9 at yesterday’s Sha Tin racemeeting.

Dr Woo has advised that Apprentice Wong is in a stable condition and will likely be discharged from hospital within the next few days. Dr Woo further advised that Apprentice Wong will require treatment and physiotherapy for his lower back injury which is anticipated to result in him being unable to ride for an extended period.

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Apprentice Wong’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
