The Hong Kong Jockey Club bought three colts at the recent Arqana October Yearling Sale in Deauville, France for a total of €340,000 (approximately HK$3.128 million).

Lot 31 is a well-related son of Exchange Rate who has sired the two-time 1200m G1 winner Reckless Abandon. The Club went to €140,000 to secure the attractive bay whose winning dam is a half-sister to G1 Prix du Jockey Club winner New Bay, from a Juddmonte family that has also produced star gallopers such as Oasis Dream and Kingman.

Torgau was a high-class juvenile filly, a G2 winner and runner-up in both the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes and G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. That talented mare is the second dam of Lot 113, a €100,000 full-brother to the Listed winner Aiming For Rio, by Godolphin’s durable multiple G1-winner Rio De La Plata.

The Club also secured Lot 126 for €100,000. The athletic Siyouni youngster’s dam is a two-time winner from a solid black type family.
