The Club has been advised by Racing Victoria Ltd Stipendiary Stewards that Club Jockeys Joao Moreira and Chad Schofield, who rode at yesterday’s Caulfield Cup Race Meeting, incurred race riding suspensions after having been found guilty of careless riding offences at the aforementioned meeting.

Jockey Moreira’s period of suspension commences at the conclusion of today’s Sha Tin racemeeting and expires on Wednesday, 1 November 2017, on which day he may resume race riding.

Jockey Schofield’s period of suspension also commences after today’s Sha Tin racemeeting and expires on Wednesday, 1 November 2017. Jockey Schofield’s period of suspension is to be partially served concurrently with a race riding suspension he incurred at the Sha Tin racemeeting on 14 October 2017. Consequently, he remains eligible to resume race riding on Thursday, 2 November 2017.
