To usher in the new season, customers* will have the chance to win estimated total dividends of $56 million.

$28 million mega prize for both season opening and first night meeting
For the season’s opening raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse on 10 September, there will be total estimated dividends of $28 million on offer. A Triple Trio jackpot will be topped up with $11 million and the dividend is estimated to reach $18 million if there is only one single $10 winning unit. Meanwhile, the 5th Double Trio and Six Win Bonus jackpots will be each topped up with $1 million from the Operator Reserve and the estimated dividends could reach $6 million and $4 million respectively for a single $10 winning unit.

For the season’s first night meeting at Happy Valley Racecourse on 13 September, up to $28 million in total dividends could be won. A Triple Trio jackpot will be topped up with $11 million and the dividend is estimated to reach $18 million for one single $10 winning unit. Additionally, the 4th Double Trio and Six Win Bonus jackpots will be each topped up with $1 million from the Operator Reserve and the estimated dividends could reach $6 million and $4 million, respectively, for a single $10 winning unit.

Demerging of “Forecast & Trio Merged Pool”
Forecast has been well-received by customers and the bet type has now generated a self-sustaining pool of liquidity alongside the Trio. With effect from the overseas simulcast meeting on 9 September and the local meeting on 10 September, the Club will demerge the “Forecast & Trio Merged Pool”. Forecast and Trio will each become separate pools with total investment in each displayed individually, while investments in each pool will only affect the odds and dividend calculation and be displayed for each pool.

Percentage of Pool paid out as Dividend restored for Trio and Tierce Pools
Customers have welcomed the rebates on standard bet types (Win, Place, Quinella and Quinella Place) for local racing, and more recently for simulcast races. Equally welcome have been the re-introduction of Forecast with the All Up feature, and the Operator Reserve used for topping up jackpots for exotic bets (with funds deducted from The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s revenue). To continue providing these competitive products and services, countering illegal betting operators, the Club will restore the percentage of the Pool paid out as Dividends of Trio Pools to 77% and the percentage of Pool paid out as Dividend of Tierce Pools to 75%. The restoration will be applicable to both local and overseas simulcast races and take effect for Trio and Tierce Pools offered from the overseas race meeting on 9 September and the local race meeting on 10 September.

Composite Win Pari-mutuel Pool scheduling
The Club reviews its product portfolio from time to time and has decided to suspend the offering of “Composite Win” pari-mutuel pools, including the 3 Pick 1 and Winning Region, starting from the new local racing season.
