Both starts this season have been decent efforts, latterly when finding some more experienced fillies just too strong in a Royal Ascot handicap.

Mauiewowie

Up to this trip and into a handicap for the first time. Hasn’t quite lived up to expectations in two starts this season but wasn’t helped by a difficult gate in a Naas G3 last time.

Adelaise

Looks an improved filly since moving to Ireland. She lost her position during her run in a Royal Ascot handicap last month but rallied late on to finish a very good fourth of 19. Wants a strong pace.

No Niki No

This six-time winner in France usually races prominently. She gained her first Irish victory when beating 10 rivals in an 1800m Leopardstown handicap last month. Raised 7lb.

Independent Expert

Back in trip but two of her three career victories have come over 1400m – including here. She fought hard to get the better of a tight finish at Limerick last month. Best on good or slow ground.

Transcendental

Was having a disappointing year – though generally starting at very long odds – until shaping much better when outrunning 14 rivals in a 1200m handicap here in May. Has also won over this trip.

Sheyya

Won on her career debut in a maiden over this trip last year. Well beaten at a higher level twice subsequently, she now makes her handicap and seasonal debuts.

Lan Cinnte

Facts and figures suggest gradual improvement in maiden company. This became her target after winning at Limerick last month, the slow ground thought to be in her favour there.

Aussie Girl

May be ridden more patiently than usual, as she only seems to just last 1400m – probably being in front too soon when third here in May.

Capuchinero

Has won at this trip though both career victories have come on Dundalk’s all-weather track, but did finish a close fourth at Cork in May. Looks to prefer good or quicker ground.

Marsa

Not at her best on either start this season. Only turf victory so far came in a fast-ground Gowran Park handicap over this trip. This looks hard.
