Listed – 1200m – Turf

1

Anthem National

Stable have been in great form but he’ll need to improve on recent performances if he’s to win this. Not beaten far in a handicap over this course and distance in May.

2

Castle Star

Returned from a 218-day break to finish well beaten in Listed company at Naas, though didn’t have a clean trip then. Came from the back to win a slow ground G3 over this course and distance in 2021.

3

Commanche Falls

A nine times winner who, although without a victory lately, has continued in very good shape most recently when a close third in a 1200m York G2. This is his trip and he deserves plenty of respect.

4

Gustavus Weston

Supporters will hope that he can return to some hot form over this course and distance earlier in his career, winning a G2 and two G3s. Looks best on a slow surface.

5

Tango Flare

Lightly raced and has improved significantly this season, winning both starts and responding really well to jockey pressure each time. Now has to prove himself capable of winning in Listed class.

6

Twilight Jet

A G3 sprinting winner in 2021 and again in 2022. Returning from a 322-day break, he got tired in the closing stages of a G2 over this course and distance in May.

7

Ano Syra

Her wins have come in maiden and handicap events, and she keeps narrowly missing out in Group and Listed company, as she did when second at Cork last month. Tries hard and consistent.

8

Mooneista

A past G2 winner – over 1000m – here and has consistently competed in hot company since. Never doing enough to make a serious impact in a 1000m G1 at Royal Ascot last month.

9

Wodao

Always prominent when second in a soft-ground G3 at Chantilly in April, but not so effective at the same track the following month. Has got a chance here if he runs up to his best.

10

Coralillo

First start for 275 days. She did have one piece of very strong form as a 2yo when a close – and perhaps slightly unlucky – third in a G3 over this course and distance.

11

Lady Tilbury

Her two career wins have come at 1000m, but she’s probably also effective at this trip. A solid third at Cork last time despite the slow surface not being ideal.
