1400m – Turf
Burgtor |
Showed fantastic acceleration to win by 1.5L in the lower-class last time. His recent training on the uphill course has been sharp, indicating that he’s in good condition. |
Caravaggisti |
Won the debut race over 1400m impressively with a powerful late run in November 2024. Since stepping up to this class he has been well beaten in last two starts, largely due to pre-race agitation and inconsistent gate behavior. The long stretch of outer Kyoto course should suit him. |
Danon Kilauea |
A full-brother to the G1 NHK Mile Cup winner Danon Scorpion. Yet to deliver consistent results due to the lack of focus during the race, his late speed ranks among the best in this class. |
Excel Gold |
Won 1-win class (1200m) at Fukushima in April. Showed little in three starts at this class. |
Extra Buck |
Secured a close win in the lower-class (1400m) at Chukyo in August, but showed little when two-digit finishes in recent two starts at this class. |
Holy Blossom |
After winning on debut, it took her some time to progress. However, she posted a strong time when winning in the one-win class two starts ago, and carried that momentum into a runner-up finish at this level. Lightly raced and has plenty of upside going forward. |
Le Vine Noir |
Her best run in this class (1200m) was about 1L 3rd in January. She came off a 1.8L 6th at this class over this course and distance in her first appearance in nearly four months. |
Meisho Kite |
Has not tasted any success since 2021, and switched to turf in May 2023. Missed on the board twice in eight starts this term. |
Mozu Antares |
Finished a brave 2nd, only beaten by a neck over this course and distance in October 2024. Coming off a 1.5L 5th on the same stage on 2 Nov. |
On The Blue Sky |
His two wins are both over 1200m. Need more progress in this class. |
Ronde Bosse |
Little pace to work with mid-race and was forced to swing wide into the stretch in the last start over this course and distance. But her late kick was eye-catching Won in the lower class in three starts back when able to be patient behind the lead, proving that she was tactically versatile. |
Saronikos |
After finishing disappointing in the G2 Shion Stakes (2000m) in September 2024, she took drop in class. Returned form nearly 6-month layoff and did not finish badly when 2L 8th in this class last time. |
Satono Priere |
Stepped up in this class this term, but shown little in three starts. |
Underscore |
Saved ground and showed impressive turn of speed in 1-win class (1400m) at Chukyo in August last time. First run since. |
Yell To Heaven |
Marked his long-awaited second win over this course and distance in May. In his most recent start on the same stage, he gained command from the start but faded to 7th. |
